Abstract

The invention relates to an item of seating furniture (14), in particular a chair, comprising: a plane of symmetry (15); a seat surface (17); a backrest (3); a kinematics system (6) situated on a base (1) of the seating furniture, which kinematics system comprises: a base arm that can be rotated about a base axis (A1) relative to the base (1); an end arm, which can be rotated about the base arm about an intermediate axis (A2); and a furniture part, which is mounted to be rotatable about the end arm about an end axis (A3); wherein the three axes (A1, A2 and A3) intersect in a central point (Z, Z1). In order to achieve versatile movability: the pivotable furniture part is the backrest (3); the seat surface (17) is mounted so as to be rotatable, with respect to the backrest (3), about a connection axis (18) extending normally with respect to the plane of symmetry (15); and the seat surface (17) is connected to the base (1) via a support kinematics system (28) which binds at least one degree of freedom.

Abstract

A virtual device for the limited pivoting of an object about a base virtual pivot point by means of a pivoting device, where a limiting device is provided for the pivoting angle. The virtual device is a mechanically stable and yet space-saving limiting device that is rotatable about an outer axis on the base and about an outer axis (23′) rotatable on the object, or on the slide, where the limiting device limits the distance and/or the angular position of the two axes relative to one another, with the proviso that the axes always occupy the same plane.

Abstract

The invention relates to a piece of furniture with a base furniture part and a pivoting furniture part, in particular an office chair (1) or a chair which is used in conjunction with virtual reality computer games, said pivoting furniture part being mounted on the base furniture part in a pivotal manner by means of a pivoting mechanism. The aim of the invention is to achieve a mobility which supports the movements of the user in particular. This is achieved in that the pivoting mechanism comprises a kinematic system (34), by means of which the pivoting furniture part (5) can carry out a spherical movement about a center of rotation lying over the base furniture part (2), preferably about a central point (10) fixed to the base, relative to the base furniture part (2). The invention describes two usable kinematic systems and embodiments relating to guides of the two parts and drives for moving said parts.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device by means of which a tool, a medical appliance, or another object can be pivoted about a virtual pivot point (4) fixed in space and about a virtual axis (4') fixed in space. The pivoting movement is achieved in that the device comprises at least two flat movement grids (1), each of which comprises two parallelogram linkages (8:CKGF; 9; HIED) and optionally a four-bar linkage (10; ABHG). The planes of the movement grids can be arranged parallel to one another or intersect one another in a straight line that includes the pivot point. If three movement grids are provided, said grids intersect preferably in a common straight line. The invention also relates to a novel kind of the flat movement grids used.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for rotating an object (19) around an axis which is stationary relative to the device (2), a so-called turning device. The device according to the invention has two partial manipulators (3, 3'), each having a base part (5, 5') to which an upper arm (6, 6') is rotatably hinged around a base axis (9, 9'), to which upper arm a lower arm (7, 7') is rotatably hinged around an arm axis (10, 10'), which lower arm has an end axis (11, 11'). The base axis, the arm axis and the end axis of each partial manipulator intersect each other at one central point (12, 12'), the connection line thereof defining the turning axis (1). An intermediate piece (8) is mounted rotatably around the two end axes (11, 11') between the two lower arms (7, 7'), and is or forms an object holder (14) for the object to be rotated. The invention is useful in particular in the medical field for recumbency, chairs or tables. In one configuration, the device can also be used for plate bending.

Abstract

The invention relates to an articulated-arm robot, comprising a rigid, optionally movable base (5), a base (6) that can be rotated about a preferably vertical axis (2) of the rigid base, a base arm (7) that can be rotated about a preferably horizontal base axis (3), and an end arm (8) that can be moved relative to the base arm.
