Abstract

A modular habitat system for linking fragmented natural habitats is provided comprising two or more connectable modules, wherein the modules each comprise: (i) a moveable base; (ii) a structural framework; and (iii) a permeable outer membrane layer covering one or more sides of the module, wherein, in use, components (i) to (iii) contain a growing medium. Also provided is the use of a modular habitat system of the invention to provide a contiguous pathway between different natural habitats, methods of installing a modular habitat system of the invention on or adjacent to existing infrastructure, and methods for connecting natural habitats comprising installing a modular habitat system of the invention on existing infrastructure.

Abstract

A fence comprising one or more fencing panels with corresponding supports, each fencing panel has perforations, and each fencing panel is scored at least once enabling the folding of one or more portions. The perforations allow for the flow of water, whilst inhibiting the access of small typically endangered, animals to a site. Scoring the fence allows for a lip or lips to be formed on the fence and to further inhibit animal movement.
