Abstract

A sharpener (1) for pencils, comprising a housing (2) and a closure part (3) connected to the housing (2), at least one sharpener body (4) arranged in the housing (2) and having at least one sharpener channel (5). The closure part (3) has at least one opening (6), through which a pencil can be inserted into the sharpener channel (5), the closure part (3) at least partially covering the sharpener body (4) and the opening (6) in the closure part (3) releasing the sharpener channel (5). The closure part (3) has at least one first securing element (11), which is designed to secure the sharpener body (4) to the closure part (3) and to brace a force transmitted into the sharpener channel (5) at the closure part (3), in particular by means of a pencil. The closure part (3) has at least one securing web (12) extending away from the inner side (13) of the closure part (3) and on which the first securing element (11) is arranged and/or formed, the first securing element (11) being deformable when the sharpener body (5) is assembled in an assembly position, and being returned to a starting position when the sharpener body (5) is assembled.
