Positions of nuclear fuel assemblies are tested to assign optimal positions and to load the reactor. The loading pattern of standard assemblies in initial positions is tested by numerical simulation, then the positions are swapped while maintaining the previously formed families of assemblies. The swapped positions loading pattern is tested by numerical simulation. This is repeated until at least one candidate pattern for loading the reactor is obtained.

Abstract

A double-sided photovoltaic module (100) comprises at least three photovoltaic junctions that are successively offset along a direction of traversal of the module by radiation. Lateral junctions (1, 2) of the module have bandgap widths that are greater than a bandgap width of a medial junction (3) of said module. Furthermore, the module possesses a configuration with at least two pairs of electrical connection terminals (B1, B1', B2, B2', B3, B3'), and performs voltage matching between branches of junctions that are electrically connected in parallel. The module is thus optimised to produce a greater amount of electricity when it receives radiation (R1, R2) simultaneously on two opposite sides (F1, F2) of said module.

A lifetime optimization method for a two-sided photovoltaic module, which includes at least one multi-junction stack, where the stack's first junction layer is on the module's first side, which is exposed to the sun at the beginning of the module's life in the module's base position, and the stack's last junction layer is arranged under the module's second side, which receives diffused and reflected light and light passed through the stack. Abstract

The invention relates to a computer-assisted method for determining an optimal core-loading pattern for a nuclear reactor core. Respective positions of nuclear fuel assemblies are tested by these means in order to assign optimal positions to the assemblies and proceed with loading the reactor. The reactor core comprises cells positioned symmetrically relative to axes of symmetry, with standard assemblies being intended to be inserted into respective cells. These standard assemblies for future loading are distributed according to the number of production cycles that they have previously undergone. Additionally, groups of cell positions that are symmetric relative to the axes of symmetry are identified, and the number of symmetric positions in each group is counted. Families of standard assemblies are formed, such that the standard assemblies of the same family have at least similar burnups. Each family comprises a number of standard assemblies that corresponds to the number of positions of one of the groups. Numerical simulation is used to test the loading pattern formed by the standard assemblies in initial positions and then the positions of standard assemblies are switched while maintaining the previously formed families of assemblies. Numerical simulation is used to test the loading pattern formed by the standard assemblies in the switched positions relative to a predetermined criterion, this step being repeated until at least one candidate pattern for loading the reactor is obtained.
