Abstract
A jewelry case designed such that various types of jewelry, including rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings: (i) may be stored, and retrieved, from the case in an expedient manner, and (ii) when stored, will not become entangled, neither individually nor with other pieces of jewelry. The referenced utility is the result of a base receptacle that features a large number of vertically oriented bristles that protrude from its bottom surface. Jewelry is stored by dropping it into the base receptacle; it will fall through, and rest on the bottom surface between, the bristles. A lid, designed such that, when the case is closed, it comes into contact with the top of the bristles, ensures that any stored jewelry cannot move, or become entangled, when the case is in the closed orientation. Stored jewelry may be retrieved by opening the case and lifting it out from between the bristles.
