Provided is a transmission for a motor including: an input shaft rotating by driving force transmitted from the motor and having a plurality of pawls disposed on the outer circumferential surface; controller for controlling protrusion and retraction of the pawls; a plurality of driving gears through the centers of which the input shaft passes, which have ratchets formed on the inner circumferential surfaces thereof so as to be engaged with the pawls, and which are different in the number of gear teeth; a plurality of driven gears which are externally meshed with the driving gears and are different in the number of gear teeth; and an output unit for outputting rotary speed changed in speed by the driving gears and the driven gears.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a multi-speed transmission, having three or more speeds, of a motor for a transportation means and, more specifically, to a multi-speed transmission, of a motor for a transportation means, which does not have a complicated hydraulic apparatus and the like and thus has a simple structure, does not consume energy for gear shifts, does not cause shift shock and enables unconstrained design and manufacture in desired number of speeds and transmission ratio. The transmission for a motor according to the present invention comprises: an input shaft which receives the driving force of a motor and thus rotates, and has a mounting groove formed on the outer periphery; a plurality of pawls which are provided on the mounting groove, rotate with the input shaft and protract and retract from the outer peripheral surface of the input shaft; a controller for controlling the protraction and retraction of the pawls; a plurality of driving gears of which the center is passed through by the input shaft and which have ratchets on the inner peripheral surface such that the pawls, which protrude from the outer peripheral surface of the input shaft, interlock, and have varied number of teeth; a plurality of driven gears which are engaged with the driving gears, respectively, and have varied number of teeth; and an output portion for outputting a rotational force shifted by means of the driving gears and the driven gears.
