Abstract

This disclosure relates to integrating three-dimensional (3D) virtualization systems with transaction systems. A virtualization system can be configured to host a live virtual session in a 3D virtualization environment that facilitates collaborations and interactions among remotely situated end-user participants. A 3D engine associated with the virtualization system generates the 3D virtualization environment, as well as virtual user representations and transactional infographics that are inserted into the 3D virtualization environment. The virtualization system communicates with a transaction system to retrieve transaction data for generating the transactional infographics presented in the 3D virtual environment and/or to initiate or execute electronic transactions. Other embodiments are disclosed herein as well.

Abstract

An optical device, such a lens, or that includes a lens or lenses. The lens or lenses each have integrated therein a prism correction stage and an atoric correction stage. The prism correction stage operates to redirect an image of an object or scene so that the line of sight associated with the eye or eyes of a viewer are directed straight forward towards the lens or lenses, whereby the vergence angle between the eyes is reduced to zero or near zero degrees. The atoric correction stage operates to reshape the image so that the trapezoidal distortion caused by the redirection of the image due to the prism correction stage is at least reduced if not eliminated, and without affecting the reduction of the vergence angle as a result of the redirection of the image by the prism correction stage. In a case where the optical device has two lenses, the prism correction stage and the atoric correction integrated into each lens operate in such a way so as to reduce or eliminate stereopsis and produce, for each eye, an identical, or monoscopic image such that the viewer sees the object or scene at optical infinity.

Abstract

A computer system implements a 3D virtual environment (312) configured to be accessed by a plurality of client devices each having corresponding a user graphical representation (322) within the 3D virtual environment, which includes positions for the user graphical representations (322) arranged in a geometry (330) and a virtual camera (314) positioned within the 3D virtual environment. The virtual camera (314) moves on a predetermined path (332) that maintains a distance between the virtual camera (314) and the positions (322) arranged in the geometry for the user graphical representations. The computer system captures a video stream from the perspective of the virtual camera on the predetermined path. The video stream includes video of the user graphical representations in the positions arranged in the geometry. The predetermined path maintains a constant viewing orientation angle between the virtual camera and the positions arranged in the geometry, which may include predefined seating positions at a virtual conference table.

Abstract

A user authentication system comprising one or more cloud server computers storing a user database storing user data associated with a user account and one or more corresponding user graphical representations, and a facial scanning and authentication module connected to the database. The one or more cloud server computers are configured to authenticate a user by performing a facial scanning of the user, including extracting facial feature data from camera data received from a client device and checking the extracted facial feature data for a match against a user graphical representation associated with the user account in the user database. If a matching user graphical representation is found in the checking step, the system provides the user with access to the corresponding user account. Otherwise, the system generates, from the camera data, a new user graphical representation along with a new user account stored in the user database.
