Abstract

Disclosed is a machine for cutting up carcasses of poultry, such as chickens or turkeys, which reduces the time that a group of carcasses wait to be cut up, by accelerating the passage of the carcasses (1), which slide on a longitudinal pointed guide bar (15) positioned along the centre of the machine, the pointed guide bar being supported by central support plates (17). The machine comprises three pairs of motors (18a, 18b), which have rotary shafts ending in circular knives (20a, 20b) mounted on the sides, each pair of motors and the circular knives thereof having a different slope with respect to the longitudinal pointed guide bar (15), at the end of which a vertical circular knife (25) is disposed. An upper structure (11) of the machine comprises a pair of upper lateral profiles (21a, 21b) between which is mounted an endless belt (22) having a plurality of coupling cleats (23) in continuous movement. The cleats couple to the carcasses (1) and slide them across the longitudinal pointed guide bar (15), causing them to pass through the three pairs of circular knives (20a, 20b) until reaching the vertical circular knife (25).

Abstract

Disclosed are a system and method for cleaning Teflon plates used in industrial freezers, which produce frozen blocks of animal protein paste formed by meat waste and less valuable parts of an animal. The system comprises at least one tank (12, 12a) that has at the bottom a set of perforated tubes formed by a perimeter frame (17) and at least one transverse tube (18), all the tubes having a plurality of perforations (19). The set of tubes includes at least one vertical tube (20) connected to an air blower or compressor to generate air bubbles (26). The tank (12, 12a) has means for emptying washing water (25). The system also comprises at least one rinsing container or bin (27) for the Teflon plates (5), and a hydraulic lift (10, 11) that lifts the rinsing containers or bins (27) at an angle in order to tip or pour the rinsing water contained therein.

Abstract

A gizzard peeling machine which prevents the risk of accidents to operators and increases the production of gizzard meat, comprising a work bench having an opening containing a series of peeling rollers (4) which remove the cuticle from the gizzards. An inclined feed channel (6) is provided at an upper end of the work bench, by means of which the gizzards are supplied with the cuticle facing down. An inlet opening (16) is provided at the outlet end of the feed channel (6), formed by the space between the outer surface of the proximal end of the peeling rollers (4) and a drag conveyor (9), said drag conveyor (9) trapping the gizzards and conveying same along the series of peeling rollers (4). The drag conveyor (9) is formed by a continuous belt (14) driven by a first pulley (10) located above the inlet opening (16) and a second pulley (11) located above an outlet opening (17) through which the peeled gizzards leave the machine. The outlet opening (17) is located at the distal end of the plurality of rollers (4). The second pulley (11) is higher than the first pulley (10), such that the drag conveyor (9) is inclined relative to the upper surface of the peeling rollers (4); thus, greater pressure is exerted on the gizzards in the region of the inlet opening (16) than in that of the outlet opening (17).
