Abstract

The present invention relates to a method which allows to determine electrical losses of at least one power line (100) due to a malfunctioning or tampering of an electricity meter and/or to an illegal connection to said power line, through the statistical analysis and the processing of measured data, taking into account of the powers absorbed by a plurality of users (U1,U2... UN) connected to said power line (100) and the power supplied from a transformer room (1) to said power line (100) measured by a power meter (10), positioned on said power line (100), between said transformer room (1) and the users of said plurality of users (U1,U2... UN). In particular, the method object of the present invention allows to identify one or more users whose respective electricity meter is malfunctioning or tampered, as well as the presence of a possible illegal connection to the power line, where said malfunctioning or tampered electricity meter and said possible illegal connection cause electrical losses of said power line. The present invention relates also to a system for determining said electrical losses.
