A mounting bracket for supporting a covered rain gutter includes a left side panel and a right side panel connected to each other via a rear panel. The left and right side panels include a top portion configured to contact and support an interior side of a cover portion of the covered rain gutter, a bottom portion, and a central portion connecting the top and bottom portions. The left side panel and the right side panel can be engaged with each other via their bottom portions with a bottom portion front part configured to contact and support an interior side of a trough portion of the covered rain gutter. The mounting bracket can maintain separation between the cover portion and the trough portion and can be made from a single, stamped sheet of metal.
A debris trap for a downspout comprises an angled grate, a baffle, and a cover piece. The downspout has an opening with a vertical extent and a horizontal extent. The angled grate has holes to enable fluid to flow through the angled grate and the angled grate can be secured to the inside of the downspout. The baffle can be secured above the vertical extent of the opening, extend partially behind the opening, and angle inward to direct fluid toward the rear of the angled grate. The cover piece can comprise a top flange configured to removably secure between the baffle and the downspout and a bottom flange configured to contact the angled grate and/or a portion of the downspout below the vertical extent of the opening. The debris trap can prevent debris from clogging the downspout.

A roof panel seamer which is self-propelled and bidirectional for forming a standing seam joining two adjacent metal roof panels. Two seamers are disclosed, one for forming a 90° seam and the other for forming a 180° seam. Friction wheels, rather than gears, are used to transfer power from the main support body to the auxiliary support body of the seamer. The seamer includes five roll forming stations, the leading three of which are effective for each direction of travel. One of the roll forming stations for each direction of travel in the 90° seamer imparts a curve to the leg being bent.

A rain gutter roll forming machine wherein the final forming station has the exit drive rollers removed therefrom. The forming rollers for the lower front and back corners of the gutter are mounted for rotation about a single substantially horizontal axis and are supported by a camber adjustment plate. The camber adjustment plate is pivotable about a pivot point which is substantially within the plane of the bottom wall of the gutter. Accordingly, the relative pressures applied to the gutter by the corner forming rollers can be varied to compensate for longitudinal curvature of the gutter due to differential drag on the front and back gutter walls.

Multiple level entry guide for a roll forming machine
An entry guide for a roll forming machine having fixed stop members for the different widths of sheet metal material which can be accommodated by the roll forming machine. The fixed stop members are offset in the vertical direction. Accordingly, when the roll forming machine is adapted to accommodate a different width of sheet metal material, there is no need to adjust the entry guide.
A shear assembly for a roll forming machine which forms a rain gutter. A pair of coplanar blade members separated along a vertical line are caused to first move vertically downwardly, then have their lower ends pivot outwardly and, finally, have their upper ends pivot outwardly. The last motion is accomplished with enhanced mechanical advantage to cut through multiple layers of metal at the upper end of the gutter.
