Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for containing environmental spills at a zone, for example at a port or rail facility, in order to prevent run-off water from contaminating the environment. The system and method relates to a water parameter sensor system which is compared to stored contaminants to establish the nature of the contaminant. The system and method further relates to the comparison of the identified contaminant to a manifest database to be able to establish where a spill or leakage may be found.
