A hanging file including a hanging member configured for hanging from a support structure, a tab mechanism including a support portion supported by and extending over the hanging member, and an indexing portion that extends from the support portion, and a file cover including a cover panel having a first folded over edge portion that is supported in a hanging configuration from the tab mechanism support portion. Also, a hanging file including a hanging member configured for hanging from a support structure, a file cover including a cover panel having a folded-over edge portion that is supported in a hanging configuration from the hanging member, and a support portion supported by and extending over the hanging member, and positioned between the folded-over edge portion and the hanging member.
A binding member, including a first disk ring portion configured for reception in a binding recess of a sheet member. The first disk ring portion can have an inner surface that faces radially inward for engaging and retaining a first binding protrusion of a sheet member for binding the sheet member. The first disk ring portion can be configured for allowing the bound sheet members to slide around the first disk ring portion while retaining the engagement. The binding member can also have an axial extension member associated with the first disk ring portion and extending generally in an axial direction with respect thereto.
A tabbing apparatus is provided that includes a pocket and a tab element disposed within the pocket in a retracted position. The tab element includes an indexing segment configured for protruding from the pocket in an extended position as a tab and for being received within the pocket in the retracted position, an anchor portion attached to the pocket, and an intermediate portion connecting the anchor portion and indexing segment and configured for folding to allow the indexing segment to move between the retracted position and the extended position. The indexing segment is configured for displaying writing thereon for indexing a file.
A file having first and second cover panels pivotally connected to each other at a hinge for movement between an open and closed position may be provided. The cover panels can overlap each other in the closed position to contain papers of a predetermined size therebetween. One or more superimposed pocket panels can be coupled to an inside of the first cover panel to define overlapping pockets dimensioned to hold the papers. The pocket panels can have first edge portions that define openings to the pockets, and the first edge portions can be staggered. The pocket panels may include an outermost pocket panel with an additional coupled edge. A labeling member can be provided that is associated with each pocket panel and configured for displaying identification information. The labeling members can extend beyond papers held in the pockets and can comprise tabs that can be staggered from each other.
In accordance with one embodiment, a file system is provided comprising a file, a closure band, and a positionable label. The closure band is fixable, removably or permanently, to the file. The label is coupled to the closure band and is positionable such that it can be moved along the closure band for positioning at different locations on the file
Exemplary embodiments according to the present invention relate to a file comprising a cover member with front and back cover panels that are hinged to each other for movement between open and closed positions, wherein the cover panels in the closed position define an interior space configured and dimensioned for containing a plurality of stacked papers. The cover panels may have first and second corners disposed opposite from the hinge. At least one of the cover panels may comprise a tab portion extending away from the hinge and disposed between the corners. First and second elastic retention elements may each be secured to one of the cover panels. The first and second retention elements may be disposed and configured for looping around the first and second corners of the other cover panel, respectively, in the closed position for retaining the closed position.
A binder (32) for holding documents is disclosed. The binder (32) has a spine (36) with a pair of cover flaps (34) attached to each side of the spine (36). Attached to the spine (36) is a latching device (46), also referred to as a locking device, that includes a first retaining member, a latching member, and a second retaining member. The first and second retaining members are parallel to each other and extend perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the spine (36). The binder (32) is configured to hold a plurality of document modules (2), each of which hold a set of documents, which are flexible sheets of material, such as paper or plastic. Each module (2) has first and second ends. The first end is contoured to mate with a portion of an external profile of the first retaining member. The second end attaches to the second retaining member. The latching member (46) moves between a latched position where it engages the first end of the module (2) and an unlatched position where it is not engaged to the first end of said module (2).
Electrical welding process and device using intersecting, electrically contacting welding elements are disclosed. The intersecting welding elements are powered out of phase from each other, such that there is no short circuiting around the welding elements being heated and no electrical insulation is needed between intersecting welding elements. Current directors can be used to alternatingly direct the current through the intersecting welding elements. The process and device can be used to weld various workpieces, including thermoplastic binders and folders.
B29C 65/34 - Joining of preformed partsApparatus therefor by heating, with or without pressure using heated elements which remain in the joint, e.g. "verlorenes Schweisselement"
A filing device having retractable tabs is disclosed. The tabs are movable between a retracted position and an extended position, such as to selectively position tabs that are extended along an edge of a folder or divider.
The present invention is directed to a recloseable bag, comprising front and rear panels joined together along a joined region at lateral and bottom sides to define an inner pocket, the panels defining a principal opening at a top side thereof for removably receiving contents into the inner pocket; and a resealable closure having first and second lateral ends and disposed on a top side of the panels and configured for releasably joining the panels at the top side to releasably close the principal opening to retain the contents in the inner pocket wherein the front and rear panels define an assistive opening for facilitating opening of the bag for insertion and removal of the contents.
