Abstract

Provided is a refining device capable of refining (atomizing) over a wide dynamic range, from large grains of several dozen millimeters to submicrons, using a single device. The refining device is characterized in that: a positive-displacement pump is configured so as to rotate an impeller (8) away from an intake port (3) of a case (2) toward a blow-out port (6) of the case (2) on the side opposite a partitioning wall (16), transfer a fluid containing a sample in the rotational direction of the impeller (8), and blow the fluid containing the sample out through the blow-out port (6) of the case (2) by pressurizing the fluid using a pump chamber (13) that converges away from the intake port (3) of the case (2) toward the blow-out port (6); a side end surface extending to blades (9) from a boss part (12) of the impeller (8) and a side end surface of the partitioning wall (16) of the case (2) each have rubbing surfaces (20b, 20a); and the sample is refined by the rubbing of the rubbing surfaces caused by the rotation of the impeller (8) and the shearing by the blades of the impeller (8).

Abstract

A treatment device is provided with which it is possible to evenly disperse, dissolve, compatibilize, or emulsify a gas in a liquid and evenly disperse, dissolve, compatibilize, or emulsify a liquid in another liquid, in large quantities in a short time. The device is characterized by being equipped with a centrifugal pressure pump (1), a circulation part (25) through which a gas/liquid or liquid/liquid fluid is circulated from the discharge port (6) of the centrifugal pressure pump (1) to the intake port (3) thereof, a nozzle part (30) which has been disposed downstream from the centrifugal pressure pump (1) in the circulation part (25) and which has micro openings that allow the fluid pressurized by the centrifugal pressure pump (1) to pass therethrough, and a chamber (50) which has been disposed downstream from the nozzle part (30) in the circulation part (25) and which can hold the fluid therein.

Abstract

Provided is a novel technical means for practically applying the antioxidative effect of dissolved hydrogen and obtaining a finding which is useful in practically applying a reaction of scavenging active oxygen in water. A reaction between dissolved hydrogen and dissolved oxygen is quantitatively evaluated based on a time-profile of the difference between the dissolved oxygen amount measured in the presence of forcibly dissolved hydrogen and the dissolved oxygen amount measured by blowing a gas other than hydrogen. Further, a reaction between dissolved hydrogen and dissolved oxygen is quantitatively evaluated based on a time-profile of the difference between the dissolved oxygen amount measured in the presence of forcibly dissolved hydrogen in water which contains a photosensitive dye and the dissolved oxygen amount measured in the presence of forcibly dissolved hydrogen in water which contains no photosensitive dye.

Abstract

A method of regulating liquid properties of a reducing hydrogen solution. By the method, the values of dissolved-hydrogen amount, oxidation-reduction potential, and pH can be regulated to any desired values in wide ranges when a reducing hydrogen solution is produced by dispersing microbubbles of hydrogen in an aqueous solution. Also provided is a reducing hydrogen solution composition. An acid, base, or salt is incorporated into the aqueous solution to thereby regulate the liquid properties of the reducing hydrogen solution which are dissolved-hydrogen amount, oxidation-reduction potential, and pH.
