Abstract

A sound-attenuating composite component comprising a honeycomb and in each case at least one insert body in at least some honeycomb cells, and a production method therefor. The respective insert body has a main axis, a first end, a second end, and a cohesive surface and is inserted with the main axis in the direction of the honeycomb depth. The cohesive surface has surface regions spaced from one another in the axial direction and which face one another and overlap in a projection onto a plane lying perpendicular to the main axis in order to demarcate a passage for sound waves in the axial direction. The course of the cohesive surface through these surface regions from the first end to the second end encircles and/or repeatedly crosses the main axis.

Abstract

The invention relates to a multi-layer, expandable sleeve (100) for a printing press cylinder, particularly for flexographic printing. The sleeve has an inner layer (110) with a hard surface inner jacket (112), which defines a longitudinal axis (A) and the cavity for mounting on the cylinder, and an outer layer (130) with a cylindrical outer jacket (132) for carrying an outer shell, a printing plate or a separate outer sleeve, in particular. An intermediate layer (120), manufactured in the form of a lightweight honeycomb having honeycomb cells oriented radially (B) to the longitudinal axis (A), is provided between the inner jacket (112) and the outer jacket (132). According to the invention, the intermediate layer (120) comprises at least one honeycomb layer (122-1, 122-2, 122-3, 122-4, 122-5) consisting of shaped cured fibre composite honeycomb made of fibre material embedded in a resin matrix. Abstract

The proposed manufacture of a hollow body of fibre plastic composite comprises the preparation of a preform assembly in the form of a braid (12) of dry reinforcing fibres braided, using a braiding technique, around a self-supporting soluble core. The soluble core (10) is manufactured from a liquid-dispersible shaping material. The manufacturing comprises the impregnation of the reinforcing fibres with curable matrix material in the resin-infusion process, i.e. the matrix material is sucked into a space by the action of reduced pressure, said space being delimited without solid negative mould tooling by a vacuum film (30). After partial or full curing of the matrix material, the soluble core is removed by dissolution with liquid.
