Abstract

A laser drilling system (100) is described for drilling through solid materials, the system comprising an optical drill (104) provided with sensors (106) which determine parameters of the drilling process and send this information over a bus (17) to a control and operation centre (101) that is connected by a bus (13) refrigeration and waste discharge system (105) and by a bus (10) to an energy source (102) connected by a bus (12) to the optical drill (104), such that once the process parameters have been determined by means of the sensors (106), the control centre (101) starts the laser light emitting process using the laser system (201), leading the laser energy to the drill (104), which initiates the process in real time in controlled conditions. The laser drilling method using the system according to the invention is also described. The drilling system carries out the profiling of the physico-chemical and mechanical properties of the material of the drilled well.
