Abstract
The invention relates to a novel cover to improve housing covers (1) such as cylinder head covers or oil pans with integrated gaskets (12), with which the sealing function is handled mainly by a sealing surface (10) that is at right angles to the contact surface (4), with the sealing segment (8) extending mainly as direct extension of the cover area. An elastomer sealing element is attached to the sealing surface. The sealing force therewith acts vertically to the direction of the screw connection, with the stress on the cover (1), and therefore the requirement for ribbing, significantly reduced. This system can also be acoustically decoupled by means of additional elastomer layers on the bearing surface (6), wherein by means of the novel gasket (12), the sealing effect and the acoustic decoupling can be optimally tuned separately from each other. Additional integrated stiffening elements (28) can be used to secure the sealing function in radial direction.

Abstract
The invention relates to flat seals (1) with increased wear resistance with respect to relative movements and local overpressure. For this purpose, in the region (10) of the fastening of the seal (1), the base support sheet (2) is provided with profilings (14) at both sides, which profilings (14) lead to the surface in said region being enlarged and therefore the forces being reduced, and to an increase in the friction or even a toothing action with the pressed-on flanges. The profilings can be exposed or can additionally be coated or filled with an elastomeric material (4). As a result of the local functional separation between the sealing action and the fastening action which is obtained in this way, a flat seal is provided which exhibits less wear and is therefore functional for longer without additional elements or complex machining steps being required.

Abstract
A housing part (2) having a sealing face around the housing part which is to be sealingly fastened, in order to seal off the housing part against another housing part, with at least one fastening opening for passing through fastening elements, by means of a seal (80) on another housing part. Arranged at at least one fastening opening is an annular overhang which projects beyond the sealing face, wherein a minimum spacing between the sealing face of the housing part and a sealing face on the other housing part is defined by the overhang.

Abstract
The invention relates to a flat seal (1) composed of a metal support (2) with an elastomeric coating (4), wherein functional elements (8, 18), which relieve the seal of load, are attached in regions which are conventionally loaded particularly intensely as a result of local overpressures and relative movements. The functional elements can be metal or plastic films (8) which are adhesively bonded to one side or to both sides; alternatively, a flat metal or plastic element (18) can be inserted into a punched recess of the metal support of the seal and clamped or adhesively bonded there. In both cases, it is provided by means of the hardening, structuring and/or thickness of the functional element that the forces which occur on the seal do not exceed the permissible material limits. Excessive wear to the flat seal in applications with high loading is thereby prevented.

Abstract
The invention relates to a radial shaft sealing ring for sealing a movable component, comprising a first sealing disc made of elastomer material which has an inner recess (20) for holding the component (18) to be sealed, the sealing disc having a sealing region (6) which is adapted so that when the component (18) which is to be sealed is being held it extends essentially parallel to the component (18) to be sealed; the sealing region (6) having, on the side facing the component (18), at least two sealing lips (8) which are separated by grooves (10) and which extend around the recess (20) in a non-interrupted fashion and which are intended to bear in a seal-forming fashion against a component (18) which is to be sealed and which is being held; and the thickness of the sealing region (6) varies in the direction of the recess (20).

Abstract
The present invention relates to a surface-modified elastomer sealing element with reduced permeation to hydrocarbons and fuel/oil constituents and to a method for its production, and also to its use, for example as an oil pan seal, oil sump pan seal, cylinder head cover seal or suction system seal. Furthermore, the present invention describes the use of a surface-modified elastomer material in a sealing element and the use of a surface-modified sealing element in an arrangement in which the sealing element or parts thereof are in contact at least for a time with liquid and or gaseous fuels or oils, in particular gaseous hydrocarbons.
