The invention relates to a modular floor-covering device (1) comprising: – a floor-covering module (2) comprising a facing part (4) exhibiting an underside (42) and a top face (43), and a first profile member (5) fixed to the underside (42) of the facing part (4), – a support (3A) able to support the floor-covering module (2), when the modular device (1) is resting on the floor, the support (3A) comprising a second profile member (6), in which of the first profile member (5) and the second profile member (6) one is a female profile member and the other is a male profile member able to be fitted elastically into the female profile member in order to fix the floor-covering module (2) to the support (3A), and in which the second profile member (6) is able to be fitted together with the first profile member (5) and at the same time with another first profile member of an identical adjacent module so as to join the modules together.
