The present invention relates to a door robot having a security function and a method for monitoring security using the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a door robot having a security function and a method for monitoring security using the same, wherein various security risks attempted by people who are not authorized to enter/exit can be monitored, and the user can be instantly provided with information regarding whether a security risk has occurred or not and the evidence material thereof. In addition, the present invention comprises: an imaging portion; an authentication portion for comparing an image of a face area detected from an image taken by the imaging portion with a plurality of pre-stored face images for authentication, thereby performing authentication; a control portion configured such that, when an image change exists in the image taken by the imaging portion, and when a face area is detected, the authentication portion is controlled to perform a normal authentication procedure, and the door is then opened/closed according to the authentication result, and, when the image change exists, but no face area is detected, the control portion sets the image taken by the imaging portion as an evidence image and switches to a security mode; and a communication portion for transmitting the evidence image and a security notification to the user terminal. Accordingly, not only is the user provided with information regarding security risks, including an attempt to enter/exit by a person who is not authorized to enter/exit, an attempt to hinder imaging, and an attempt to break the door robot, but the security performance can also be improved by performing appropriate security operations.

HOME AUTOMATION CONTROL SYSTEM USING FACE RECOGNITION, AND METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a home automation control system using face recognition and a method therefor and, particularly, to a home automation control system using face recognition and a method therefor, the system being capable of checking whether a user has entered by using face recognition and operating home electronic devices according to reservation information of the user who has entered. In addition, the present invention comprises: a face recognition device for performing authentication for indoor entry; a face recognition server for transmitting entry information to a user terminal of the user for which authentication has been completed; a home automation activation unit provided in the user terminal and activating, in real time, a home electronic device control unit when the indoor entry of the user is confirmed; and a home electronic device control unit for controlling home electronic devices according to reservation information set in advance by the user, when being activated by the home automation activation unit. Therefore, home electronic devices can be operated according to reservation information set in advance by a user according to whether the corresponding user has entered.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an access control apparatus and method controls access: by registering the face image of an internal employee in advance and by using face recognition; and by photographing a face image of a visitor and by performing intercommunication with an internal employee or checking a visitor's face with an internal employee, and recording the face image of a person who accesses the office in an access log. The present invention can thereby perform access control with improved reliability.
The present invention provides a method and a system for automatically tracking a face position and recognizing a face. The present invention can photograph a user, detect a face image of the user located at a predetermined position, and then change the photographing direction by moving a photographing unit so that the face image can be moved into a face authentication area in which optimal face recognition can be achieved. Therefore, the present invention enables recognition of a user's face without requiring movement of a user and thus can maximize the convenience of face recognition. Further, the present invention can store the number of matching times by which a corresponding face image in relation to face images pre-registered for face recognition matches a face image for authentication and is thus directly used for face authentication, and first compare a face image having the larger number of matching times with an image for authentication during a face matching process, thereby significantly improving a face recognition rate. In addition, the present invention can replace an image having the smaller number of matching times with a new face image on the basis of a regular time period and thus can adaptively and naturally reflect a face of a user, which changes according to the growth or aging of the user, in the face recognition.
The present invention provides a method and a system for recognizing a face. The present invention stores the number of matchings directly used for face authentication, which is established when a face image in association with face images previously registered for face recognition matches with a face image for authentication, and first compares a face image having the large number of matchings with the face image for the authentication in a face recognition process. Accordingly, the present invention can greatly improve the face recognition speed even when the number of face images increases according to an increase in the number of users. Also, the present invention replaces an image having the small number of matchings by a new face image in a predetermined cycle. Therefore, the present invention can adaptively and naturally reflect a face of a user, which changes according to the growth or aging of the user, in the face recognition.
