Abstract

A rotating latch lock having a rotatable latch retaining a closing anchor and a rotatable pawl. The lock including a transmission mechanism for moving a movable arm of the pawl towards a latch release position. The movable arm of the pawl has a flange with a distal end supported on a surface of the latch adjacent to the edge thereof, temporarily bending the flange when the latch is in a closed position retained by the pawl. The length of the flange is such that its distal end slides on the mentioned smooth surface of the latch when the movable arm of the pawl is moved to push the pawl to a release position, and is released from the latch, automatically recovering its stable form, being supported against the edge of the latch and preventing the return of the movable arm and therefore of the pawl to a closed position.

Abstract

Abstract

The invention relates to a control pedal for an automotive vehicle, which includes a lever arm, which is structured in two parts that are pivotably connected, and is provided with a means for mutual coupling such that both parts can rotate together and simultaneously around a support shaft in normal operating conditions. The first part is in the form of a fork and has a through-hole into which a sleeve is inserted that allows the mounting of the former so that it pivots around said support shaft. The pedal additionally includes a throttle lever that can rotate around said sleeve disabling the mutual coupling between the first and second parts of the lever arm, allowing rotation of the second part with respect to the first, in a direction away from the driver.

Abstract

A hinge for vehicle doors includes: a first part fixable to a vehicle door and including an essentially vertical pin; a second part fixable to a frame of the vehicle and including an essentially cylindrical and vertical first cavity that houses the vertical pin; and a retaining device that retains infinite angular positions between the first and second parts. The retaining device includes: a sleeve surrounding the pin in the first cavity and an engagement member arranged between the pin and the sleeve. The engagement member couples the sleeve to the pin in any angular rest position of the hinge and automatically decouples the sleeve from the pin during relative rotation between the first and second parts. An interruption of the relative rotation between the first and second parts causes the engagement member to automatically couple the sleeve to the pin.

Device to disconnect a steering pedal from a vehicular mechanism whereto it is connected in the case of a head-on collision of the vehicle, applicable to pedals which, assembled with the capacity to turn around a main shaft, receive pressure from the foot and transfer its force to said device through an actuator rod; the device comprising an impact receiving body, with the capacity to turn around the aforementioned main shaft, adapted to receive an impact as a consequence of a collision, provided with an appendage located between the pedal and the actuator rod, facing the latter, and of a support portion adapted to run into a non-deformable component of the vehicle when a head-on collision of the vehicle occurs, obliging the impact receiving body to turn suddenly about the main shaft, in the same direction as the pedal when it receives the actuation from the foot, sufficient enough so that, in turn, the aforementioned appendage hits the actuator rod and breaks it.

Abstract

System to disconnect a control pedal (2) of a device of a vehicle from the same pedal whereto the pedal is connected, the pedal being mounted with rotation capacity around a main shaft (3), the system comprising a drive rod (4) of the device articulately joined to the pedal by coupling means (5); a receiving body (6) of an impact as a consequence of a head-on collision of the vehicle, provided with a cam portion, mounted with rotation capacity around the same main shaft; and separable joining means (8) designed to keep the receiving body and the pedal solidly joined in normal conditions and to be deactivated when the receiving body receives an impact which exceeds a predetermined value, so that said receiving body is capable of freely rotating around the main shaft independently of the pedal, the cam portion of the receiving body being designed to perform a pushing action on the coupling means between the rod and the pedal in the event of the receiving body rotating with respect to the pedal, which produces the decoupling and the separation between said rod and pedal, both remaining disconnected.
