METHOD FOR GTP TCP DATA PACKET TRAFFIC

Application Number IB2025056356

Filing Date 2025-06-23

Abstract

The method organizes traffic of General Packet Radio Service Tunneling Protocol Transmission Control Protocol (GTP TCP) data packets over a network with a satellite link connecting a hub side and remote terminals, involving a TCP spoofer at either side. It includes the following steps: a TCP spoofer receives a GTP TCP data packet, either for transmission or already transmitted over the network. The system checks for an existing GTP spoof session; if none exists, a new session is created, saving the packet sequence number as a reference. If an existing session is found and its stored reference equals a predetermined value, the reference number is updated with the sequence number of the received packet, depending on whether the packet is being sent or has already been sent.

Abstract

A rain diversity switchover system includes a diversity Satellite Access Station (SAS) including a transmitter modem and a receiver modem in communication with a satellite. The system further includes a primary SAS including a transmitter modem and a receiver modem in communication with the satellite via a second satellite antenna, where the transmitter and receiver modems of the primary SAS are synchronized with the transmitter and receiver modems of the diversity SAS via a common time source. Further, a hub data processor adjusts a timing of transmissions from the diversity SAS to the satellite relative to the common time source in accordance with a difference between a time of flight from the diversity SAS to the satellite and a time of flight from the primary SAS to the satellite. Additionally, a switchover controller controls a rain diversity switchover between the primary SAS and the diversity SAS.

Abstract

An apparatus and method to optimize recovery of the carrier frequency performs independent optimization of frequency capture range and carrier frequency estimation accuracy. A multi-correlator selects a frequency-shifted version of a signal of interest, extracted from a received signal, to output a coarse frequency-shifted version of the signal of interest. A fine frequency estimator shifts a frequency of the coarse frequency-shifted version of the signal of interest, based on a frequency corresponding to the spectral peak of the coarse frequency-shifted version of the signal of interest, and generates a fine frequency-shifted version of the signal of interest. A fine frequency estimator generates an intermediate frequency estimate and a plurality of phase estimates, based on the coarse frequency-shifted version of the signal of interest, resolves phase ambiguities in the plurality of phase estimates based on the intermediate frequency estimate, and generates a fine frequency-shifted version of the signal of interest.

Abstract

A TCP acceleration apparatus includes input queues each having a service level and storing at least one session packet list having packets from a same TCP session. The apparatus also includes a distributor connected to the input queues and to the client and configured to retrieve a session packet from a session packet list at a top of an input queue for transmission to the client. The input queue at the service level selected by the distributor moves the session packet list at a top of the input queue to a bottom of the input queue after the session packet is retrieved by the distributor. Acceleration apparatuses including other features, as well as a method, computer program product and system for TCP acceleration are also discussed.

Abstract

A communication network control method for a communication network including a hub and a plurality of user nodes includes adjusting system parameters and feathering to reduce jitter and other effects given current conditions of the wireless channel, current loading of the network, and user constraints. In particular, the method includes transmitting a first and second frame with a burst time plan from the hub to each user node, and transmitting a first respective data burst from each of the user nodes to the hub according to the burst time plan. The time frame of the data burst from each user node arrives simultaneously at the hub. A position of each slot in the first data burst is allocated to be equally spaced along a time axis.

Abstract

A communication system, method, computer program product, and apparatus include common equipment shared between multiple independently administered networks. The common equipment is reconfigurable and expandable and provides changed communication capacity and functions when additional elements are added or reconfigured. Configurable features include, for example, communication bandwidth, Quality of Service, and a number of communication satellites included in the communication system. The common equipment includes expandable elements including, for example, a single hub modem chassis that can expand to communicate with more than one communication satellite and a protocol processor that can share a protocol processing task with another protocol processors.
