Abstract

A sealing packing includes a core portion and a housing wrapped around the exterior of the core portion that has a rounded rectangular cross-sectional shape. The housing comprises a plurality of fiber threads woven together with each other and a barrier sealant filled between the plurality of fiber threads. Between the core portion and the housing, a lubricating layer covers the housing. The core portion has a cross-sectional area of 15-75% of the cross-sectional area of the sealing packing. The core portion comprises a central supportive reinforcing core with an X-shaped cross-section and a plurality of elastic supplementing cores. The central supportive reinforcing core has a central portion extending along the central axis of the core portion and four support portions extending outwardly from the central portion. Each support portion points to a respective corresponding corner of the housing. A method for preparing the sealing packing is also provided.

Abstract

A mechanical sealing device for sealing fluid from escaping a housing through which a rotating shaft is arranged includes a rotatable ring fixed to and disposed about the rotating shaft. A stationary ring is disposed about the rotating shaft, and abuts a stationary ring at a contact point. A peripheral rim is provided and surrounds the rotatable ring and the stationary ring. The peripheral rim defines an inclined surface exposed to the fluid and includes a distal end that protrudes radially beyond the rotatable ring and the stationary ring. One of either the rotatable or stationary rings includes an inclined chamfer adjacent the contact point, the inclined chamfer defining a plane that is parallel to the inclined surface.

The present application discloses a cartridge type mechanical sealing device for sealing liquid, the sealing device including a gland, a rotating ring adaptor assembly, a rotating ring, a stationary ring adaptor, a stationary ring, and a locking ring mounted around a rotating shaft. The gland is configured to be fastened to a rear end surface of the equipment enclosure; the rotating ring adaptor assembly including a front end portion configured to be in the liquid and supporting the rotating ring and a rear end portion extending through the gland to be surrounded by the locking assembly which is configured to fasten the rotating ring adaptor assembly to the rotating shaft; the stationary ring adaptor is fastened to a rear end surface of the gland; and when the stationary ring adaptor is released from the gland, a rotating ring adaptor of the rotating ring adaptor assembly or the stationary ring adaptor can be pulled along the rotating ring in a direction away from the liquid so as to be separated from the gland, thereby separating the rotating ring and the stationary ring to release the sealing interface and exposing the rotating ring and the stationary ring to the outside air respectively and providing for in-line maintenance and a reduction of possible leakage points.

Abstract

A mechanical sealing device includes rotating and stationary rings, and rotating and stationary ring adaptors mounted around a rotating shaft. An end surface of the rotating ring adjoins an end surface of the stationary ring by means of springs. The sealing interface includes an adjoining point that is in contact with a liquid medium in an axial section of the device, and an annular peripheral rim surrounding the rotating and stationary rings for agitating the liquid medium. At least a part of the peripheral rim is formed with an inclined surface oriented toward the adjoining point, the inclined surface defining a start point close to the adjoining point and an end point away from the adjoining point in the axial section of the device. The start point is spaced apart from the adjoining point while the end point extends not beyond the adjoining point in the axial direction.

Abstract

A split oil seal composed of double springs and double rings comprises an elastic outer ring intended to be statically mounted in a cavity outside a bearing box or gear box, and an elastic inner ring intended to be sleeved on a shaft of the device and held by the outer ring. The outer ring has an outer ring cut and the inner ring has an inner ring cut. The split oil seal further comprises a radial forcing element and a circumferential forcing element, wherein the radial forcing element exerts tension in both directions directed to outer circumferences and inner centers of both the outer ring and the inner ring in radial directions thereof, and the circumferential forcing element exerts a circumferential closing force to the inner ring. By using the split oil seal composed of double springs and double rings of the present invention, the advantages of convenient mounting and removal as well as strong anti-disengaging ability are achieved.

Abstract

A mechanical seal for sealing against a rotating shaft includes a static ring positioned about the shaft and a movable ring positioned about the shaft and in sliding contact with the static ring. The movable ring is rotatable with the shaft and a tray sleeve is attached to one of the movable ring and the static ring, with the tray sleeve being selectively movable in an axial direction along the shaft. Wear between the static ring and the movable ring causes the tray sleeve to move in the axial direction. The tray sleeve includes an indicator and relative movement of the indicator along the shaft is in proportion to the wear between the static ring and the movable ring.
