Abstract
A hydraulic safety system for a material handling attachment with interchangeable jaw assemblies. The hydraulic safety system includes a hydraulic safety manifold that ports fluid pressure to rods sides and bleeds fluid pressure from base sides of a hydraulic cylinders coupled to locking pins securing the interchangeable jaw assemblies to a main body of the material handling attachment. The hydraulic safety manifold ensures that hydraulic pressure on the base sides of the cylinders will remain less than or equal to pressure on the rod sides of the hydraulic cylinders even in the event of a hydraulic leak.

Abstract
A piercing tip for a demolition shear, the piercing tip including a blade-side sidewall and a guide-side sidewall, a front wall, and a bottom wall. An intersection of a front outer wear surface of the front wall and a bottom wear surface of the bottom wall defines a front piercing edge. An intersection of a planar outer wear surface of the blade-side sidewall and the bottom wear surface of the bottom wall defines a shearing edge. A blade set may include the piercing tip and at least one shear blade. The piercing tip and at least one shear blade may be mounted to the blade-side of an upper jaw of the demolition shear.

Abstract
A demolition shear and a piercing tip insert and nose configuration for a demolition shear which resists nose wear and resists retract forces exerted on the piercing tip insert in jamming situations and in the event of snagging of the piercing tip insert. The piercing tip insert includes first and second piercing tip halves, each half having an outer planar sidewall, a curved front wall extending laterally inward, and a bottom leg extending laterally inward defining a shearing edge and a piercing edge.

Abstract
A pulverizing attachment for an excavator and a method of removably rigidly retaining teeth to one or more jaws of a pulverizer. A plurality of tooth members each have a longitudinal slot with a cross-sectional shape and a relief slot extending substantially transverse to the longitudinal slot producing a flexible end portion capable of deflection upon application of a longitudinal compression force. The tooth rails having a complimentary cross-sectional shape to the longitudinal slot slidably receive the tooth members. The complimentary shape of the longitudinal slot and tooth rail in cooperation with a longitudinal compression force applied to deflect the flexible end portions of each of the tooth members rigidly retains the tooth members on the tooth rails fixed to the pulverizer jaws.

The upper jaw is pivotally attached near its inner end on its backside to the end of a dipper stick and a double action actuator or cylinder (14) for operative pivotal movement of the upper jaw relative to the dipper stick. An arcuate - shaped lower jaw (100) is provided with an inner end and a backside. The lower jaw is attached near its inner end on its backside to the dipper stick by a linkage (16) for operative pivotal movement of the upper jaw relative to the lower jaw. A hollow tubular pivot (88) is attached to the inner end of one of the jaws with open opposing ends. Two lug plates (107,107) are mounted on the inner end of the other jaw each with an eyelet (108). The eyelets are alignable with the open ends of the hollow tubular pivot. A pivot pin (110) is passed through the hollow tubular pivot and eyelets and secured thereat.

Abstract
An improved severe duty grapple for attachment onto the end of a dipper stick of a backhoe has an arcuate-shaped upper jaw with an inner end and a backside. The upper jaw is pivotally attached near its inner end on its backside to the end of a dipper stick and a double action actuator or cylinder for operative pivotal movement of the upper jaw relative to the dipper stick. An arcuate-shaped lower jaw is provided with an inner end and a backside. The lower jaw is attached near its inner end on its backside to the dipper stick by a linkage for operative pivotal movement of the upper jaw relative to the lower jaw. A hollow tubular pivot is attached to the inner end of one of the jaws with open opposing ends. Two lug plates are mounted on the inner end of the other jaw each with an eyelet. The eyelets are alignable with the open ends of the tubular pivot. A pivot pin is passed through the tubular pivot and eyelets and secured thereat.

Abstract
This heavy-duty demolition apparatus (10) includes a unitary jaw assembly, having a pair of pivoting jaws (12, 14) connected by a main pivot pin (16); a first adaptor (50) on the boom structure; a second adaptor (60) on the jaw assembly, the second adaptor engaging the first adaptor, so that the jaw assembly can be easily removed as a unit from the boom structure; and a lock pin (70) fixed to the first adapter (50) and engaging the second adapter (60) to maintain the jaw assembly in locked relationship to the boom structure. Because of the structure of the apparatus (10), the distance between the attachment point of the hydraulic ram on the boom structure and the main pivot point of the jaw assembly can be varied between interchangeable jaw assemblies.

Abstract
A heavy-duty demolition apparatus for attachment to the boom structure of an excavator, the apparatus having interchangeable jaw sets. The apparatus includes a unitary jaw assembly, having a pair of pivoting jaws connected by a main pivot pin; a first adaptor on the boom structure; a second adaptor on the jaw assembly, the second adaptor engaging the first adaptor, so that the jaw assembly can be easily removed as a unit from the boom structure and another jaw assembly installed on the boom structure; and a lock pin fixed to the first adapter and engaging the second adapter to maintain the jaw assembly in locked relationship to the boom structure. Because of the structure of the apparatus, the distance between the attachment point of the hydraulic ram on the boom structure and the main pivot point of the jaw assembly can be varied between interchangeable jaw assemblies.
