Abstract
An inhaler and a method for adjusting the inhaler for inhaling a liquid pharmaceutical formulation and an inhaler with a nozzle for use with said method. The inhaler has a mouth piece portion with a lumen and a coupled body portion. The body portion has a body with a base facing the lumen. The body further includes a nozzle with an outlet for discharging said pharmaceutical formulation extending from the base into the lumen, a counter electrode at the base at a counter electrode distance from the nozzle outlet and a discharge electrode at a discharge electrode distance from the nozzle outlet. The inhaler further includes a power supply and an air inlet. The method includes a step of adjusting the electrode(s) relative to the nozzle outlet of the inhaler.

Abstract
A spraying device for producing a spray of particles in a carrier gas at an ambient pressure, includes a storage volume for a liquid substance; at least one nozzle (5) having an inlet and an outlet, the nozzle inlet being coupled to the storage volume in fluid communication; a counter electrode (6); an electric supply coupled between the at least one nozzle and the counter electrode for providing a first potential (VI) between the nozzle outlet and the counter electrode so as to create a first electric field between the nozzle outlet and the counter electrode. The spraying device further includes at least one discharge electrode (7), the at least one discharge electrode being coupled to the electric supply for providing a second potential between the discharge electrode and the counter electrode, the polarity of the second potential being opposite to the polarity of the first potential. The at least one nozzle and the at least one discharge electrode are arranged adjacent and parallel to each other and facing the counter electrode from a substantially same direction.

Abstract
A particle delivery device for producing a spray of particles in an ambient gas at an ambient pressure includes a storage volume for a liquid substance; a nozzle having an inlet and an outlet, the nozzle inlet being coupled to the storage volume in fluid communication, and an electric supply for providing an electric field between the nozzle outlet and a counter electrode. The storage volume is gastight, comprises a moveable wall and is adapted to provide the liquid substance to the nozzle inlet at ambient pressure level. The electric supply is arranged to control a release of the liquid substance from the nozzle outlet by a control of the electric field.
