Abstract

The present invention relates to a plurality of solar collectors (100) integrated in a fagade or roof of an object, the solar collector (100) can be used either as roof or facade covering with integrated solar heating element for heating of water. Each solar collector (100), according to the present invention, comprising an outer transparent plate (30) having an upper surface and a lower surface; a first inner transparent plate (40) having an upper surface and a lower surface; an absorber surface (15) for absorbing solar radiation and radiating thermal energy positioned below the first inner transparent plate (40); and lateral plates (90) arranged on lateral sides of each solar collector (100), the first inner transparent plate (40) lower surface being a toothed surface (25) comprising longitudinally extending V-shaped teeth having convex curved side surfaces, the toothed surface (25) reflecting solar radiation when a working fluid is not present in a second plurality of cavities (61) and transmitting solar radiation through the first inner transparent plate (40) when the working fluid is present in the second plurality of channels (61). The outer transparent plate (30) and the first inner transparent plate (40) being spaced with a plurality of first lateral side walls (14) defining a first plurality of cavities (50); the second plurality of cavities (61) spaced with a plurality of second lateral side walls (16) and positioned between the first inner transparent plate (40) and the absorber surface (15); and a third plurality of cavities (80) spaced with a plurality of third lateral side walls (17) and positioned between the absorber surface (15) and a rear plate (10), each of the third plurality of cavities (80) is maintained under a vacuum. The plurality of the solar collectors (100) is adjacently positioned in a serial configuration and coupled together by a connecting piping.

Abstract

Solar collectors convert the energy of solar radiation into thermal energy and the collected energy is removed by a working fluid. If the collected heat is not removed, the collector overheats, A solar collector with reflecting surfaces according to the present invention prevents overheating of the solar collector by reflecting the radiation in a way that the light beams, by means of a first transparent surface (20), are corrected to the preferred angle and further directed towards channels (70). On a second transparent surface (40) the beams are directed again and on a third transparent surface (50) the light beams are reflected if in the channels (70) is air. If the working fluid flows through the channels (70), on the third surface (50) there is no reflection, so the light beams pass through the opaque part of an absorber (60) where the solar radiation is converted into the thermal energy that is then removed by the working fluid.
