METHODS AND FORMULATIONS FOR STORING ENTOMOPATHOGENIC NEMATODES
The present disclosure provides a method of preparing nematode formulations that are suitable for prolonged storage. In particular, the method comprises mixing infective juveniles of entomopathogenic nematodes with an alginate solution to form an alginate gel, followed by encapsulating the alginate gel by contacting with a complexing solution and removing the alginate capsules from the solution. The formed alginate capsules are then dried for at least 3 hours before coating with a cellulose compound and then dried.
