Shortcomings in the transdermal delivery of a dispersion of fixed and/or essential plant oils are overcome by using an aqueous extraction of a saponin plant to enhance dispersion of fixed and/or essential oils and to enhance transdermal delivery of a composition including the oil dispersion of a target plant. In one embodiment, a composition for transdermal delivery comprises an oil in water emulsion having an oil of a target plant dispersed in a dispersion medium. The dispersion medium includes soluble components of a saponin plant solvated in water, and the saponin plant and the target plant are different plants or types of plants. Products including the composition for transdermal delivery, and methods of preparing and using the composition are also described.

An improved soap composition and methods of manufacture thereof are disclosed. In one embodiment, a soap composition is produced from a saponification reaction between: a first mixture comprising an oil and a vinegar component, the vinegar component including an extraction medium of natural vinegar and extract from a natural plant additive; and a second mixture comprising an alkaline solution. In another embodiment, the invention relates to the use of soap raw materials as the extraction medium of herbal ingredients for use in soap, cosmetic, and/or household products. The invention eliminates extra steps needed to separate the extract from a solvent as the extraction medium itself is one or more of the raw materials of the product. In yet another embodiment, the invention relates to increasing the zeta-potential of relevant insoluble particles in the solution of a soap base by the incorporation of zeta-potential increasing component(s).
