Abstract

The specification discloses a treatment device comprising a housing with a top and a base and a quantity of magnetic sheeting located between the top and base in a single layer. Preferably, the housing is formed from three layers with an intermediate layer defining an internal cavity. Dimensions to receive the magnetic sheetings. Preferably, the magnetic sheeting is affixed to the base and a space is provided between the magnetic sheeting and the top. The housing may be rigid, semi-rigid, or flexible. The device may include one or more solid magnets also located in the internal cavity. A colourful pattern may be arranged on a treatment side of the device. The colourful pattern preferably including the colours of the rainbow or a majority of them. The invention extends to a method of treating a local environment but locating the above treatment device in a treatment position adjacent the body of water, a water flow path, in an air-conditioning duct, a cooling tower or a number of other applications.
