Abstract

Door or ( French- ) window (1) assembly comprising a fixed frame (2) suitable for fitting in a door or (French- ) window opening (4), a moving door (6), connected in a rotatable or sliding manner to the fixed frame (2) or in a sliding manner to a translation guide between a position of abutment with the fixed frame or with a vertical upright (58) thereof, and a position of partial separation from said frame/upright. Such door (6) comprises a cornice (8) inside which at least one transparent panel (10, 10', 10") is supported, preferably of glass, wherein the cornice (8) and the panel (10, 10', 10") are glued to each other so that the panel acts as a reinforcement element of the cornice.
