Abstract

The present invention concerns an orientation assistance device (100) comprising a hollow body (10) mounted on a motorised support (20) capable of rotating said body (10) on itself and comprising, on the surface of said body (10), a directional arrow (11) rigidly connected to said body (10), said body (10) comprising, inside same: a magnetic compass (12) for determining a reference direction (d_ref) of said arrow (11), a geolocation module (13) for determining the coordinates (x, y) relative to a geographical position (PI) of said device (100), a computer processing module (14) for calculating the direction (d) of a predefined geographical location (GEO) relative to said device (100) and calculating an angular movement (α) of said body (10) in accordance with the reference direction (d_ref) and the direction (d) of said location (GEO) so that said directional arrow (11) points in said direction (d) of said location (GEO).
