Abstract

The object of the invention is a multiple-spindle spinning machine for spinning coarse and long fibres such as coir, sisal, banana, wool etc.,. The invention is related to long spinning machines with multiple spinning positions comprising of a spin box and yarn winding assembly in each position. Multiple numbers of these units are mounted side by side to make long spinning machines with multiple spinning positions. The machine will have frame structure with reinforcing beams and columns to hold driving assembly, yarn production section with spin boxes & winding assembly and pneumatic suction arrangement. The driving assembly comprises of motors with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control and drive transmission parts, namely, shafts, gears, pulleys and belt/chain etc., connecting to individual spin boxes. The machine also will have a suction arrangement at the other end of the machine to enable use of pneumatic thread catcher, thread-end holder, yarn compacting mechanism etc., spin box is a modular unit, which has functional sub-assemblies to feed fibres, open & clean them, assemble and twist into a yarn with or without a yarn take-up arrangement.
