Abstract

The invention relates to an underfloor wheel-lathe for railway wheels, which is used to reshape the wheels (9) of a railroad vehicle (13). The invention comprises lifting columns (2) which are equipped with two cantilevered bars (3 and 4) for securing the top and bottom of the external axle-boxes of the wheels (9) of the vehicle (13). The invention also comprises rollers for rotating the wheels (9) during machining, said rollers being disposed such that the position thereof can be adapted to the wheels (9) to be machined.
