Abstract

A traditional Chinese medicine composition for treating ulcerative colitis (UC), the composition comprising the following raw materials: 7-11 parts by weight of coptis, 7-11 parts by weight of baked ginger, 7-11 parts by weight of radix sophorae flavescentis, 4-8 parts by weight of notoginseng, 4-11 parts by weight of indigo naturalis, 4-8 parts by weight of costustoot, 7-11 parts by weight of carbonized sanguisorba root and 1-5 parts by weight of honey-fried licorice root. The traditional Chinese medicine composition has a good UC treatment effect, low relapse rate and few side effects, is beneficial to clean the intestinal canal, warm the stomach and tone the spleen, mildly regulate cold and heat, disperse blood stasis and stop bleeding, thus relieving the pain of diseases, improving quality of life, and prolonging life.
