Abstract
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for prevention or treatment of Parkinson's disease, each containing a composite extract composed of Agastachis Herba containing tilianin, Paeonia lactiflora, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Angelica gigas, Bupleurum falcatum, Gardenia jasminoides, Paeonia suffruticosa, and Eugenia caryophyllata. The composition of the present invention improves behavioral disorders induced by MPTP and restores the loss of dopaminergic neurons, and thus has excellent effects in the prevention, alleviation, and treatment of Parkinson's disease.
