Abstract

A binding of the clap ski type for a ski or skate (1), comprising a base plate (10) attached during use on a ski or skate, a hinge part (2) attached during use on the base plate, a support (8) attached at a distance therebehind on the base plate and a frame (4), attached in operation to the hinge part (2) by means of a hinge pin (3) and pivotable between a closed position and an open position, which frame is provided with front (5) and rear (6) fastening means for a shoe (7) of an athlete, wherein return means are provided which can return the pivotable frame (4) from an open position into the closed position, which return means comprise at least one or more first permanent magnets (62) which are provided on the part of the pivotable frame (4) located before the hinge pin (3) and which cooperate with one or more second permanent magnets (65), which are provided on the hinge part (2) opposite the first permanent magnets (62), while the first (62) and second (65) permanent magnets repel each other.

Abstract

Footstretcher device for a sports rowing boat, including footrest means for supporting a rower's feet and for attaching a rower's shoes to the boat, wherein the footrest means includes a flat elongated board in use extending transversely in the boat between two generally vertical elements, and wherein the flat elongated board at each end is mounted to an upstanding ear, said ears being pivotably mounted to said generally vertical elements whereby a swing-type footrest means is obtained.

Abstract

A vortex generator for creating a controlled swirl in a fluid flow, which vortex generator comprises a housing with a through-flow channel for a fluid flow, which through-flow channel has a channel wall and a central zone, and a number of swirl elements extending from the channel wall to the central zone, characterized in that the channel wall is provided with a protuberance extending into the through-flow channel, formed by a wall thickness which, viewed in through-flow direction, gradually increases to a greatest value and thereupon decreases again, for obtaining a venturi effect.
