Abstract

A trestle (1) comprising: - an underframe intended to rest on the ground, consisting of two pairs of uprights (11) parallel to each other, the two uprights (11) of each of the pairs being rigidly attached to each other at least by an upper crossmember (4), said pairs being rigidly attached to each other at at least one upper joint (10), and - a support surface (3) arranged above the underframe and rigidly attached to said underframe, and extending perpendicular to a vertical direction when the trestle is in the operational position. The upper crossmembers (4) extend between mutually parallel uprights (11) of each of the two pairs and are rigidly attached to these by gluing. Lateral or corner-piece assembly panels (7) are attached, at least at the upper corners defined by the uprights (11) and the associated upper crossmember (4) of each of the two pairs of uprights, and on either side of said upper corners. The upper end of each of the uprights (11) is bevelled, such that, in the operational position, the support surface (3) rests on the entirety of the upper transverse cross-section of said uprights. The support surface (3) is only rigidly attached to one of the two pairs of lateral uprights (11).
