Abstract

Provided is a rotary device which can be driven more inexpensively than conventional devices, and which has a reduced risk of failure. Also provided is a circulation purification system employing the same. The rotary device comprises: a rotary shaft; a plurality of shafts which are disposed substantially radially on the outer periphery of the rotary shaft; bucket parts which are provided at the tip ends of the plurality of shafts; weights which are disposed so as to be able to move in the direction of extension of the plurality of shafts; and a control means for controlling the movement of the weights. When the control means are driven, this causes the weights which are disposed in correspondence to the plurality of shafts to move gradually from the rotary shaft in the direction of the bucket parts or from the bucket parts in the direction of the rotary shaft. This movement produces a rotational moment in one direction in the rotary shaft, and the bucket parts are rotated together with the rotary shaft.
