The present invention relates to an electromagnetic carousel separator (1) comprising: a first set of superposed vertical rotors (10) including at least a bottom rotor (12) and a top rotor (13), the first set of superposed vertical rotors (10) being mounted on a first vertical shaft (9); and a second set of vertical rotors (10a) including at least a bottom rotor (12a) and a top rotor (13a), the second set of superposed vertical rotors (10a) being mounted on a second vertical shaft (9a). The first and second set of rotors (10, 10a) are joined side by side.
