Abstract
The invention refers to a hydroformylation catalyst of formula (I), which comprises a rhodium complex. It also refers to a process for preparing the catalyst, and to the use of the catalyst in hydroformylation reactions which show higher regioselectivity in favor or linear aldehydes, as well as higher conversion yields. It also refers to a ligand and a process for preparing the ligand.It refers also to a process for preparing aldehydes by a hydroformylation reaction.
A new process for the diamination of alkenes is provided, as well as the new compounds prepared thereof. A process for the preparation of the primary amines obtained from the diaminated alkenes of the provided preparation process is also provided.

The present invention relates to novel organocatalysts for carrying out asymmetric reactions, which are N-heterocycles supported on polymers through triazole or tetrazole linkers. The organocatalysts show a high purity and a high stereoselectivity, and excellent results has been obtained not only with organic solvents but also with water as solvent.

Abstract
A process for the preparation of chiral ketone I from diol II comprising the acetylation of diol II with an acetylating agent, preferably an acetic acid derivative, wherein said acetylation is performed in the presence of a Lewis acid. The process can further comprise additional previous steps, so that chiral ketone I can be prepared in four steps starting from D-fructose. Alternatively, a process for the preparation of chiral ketone V from diol VI comprising the acetylation of diol VI with an acetylating agent, preferably an acetic acid derivative, wherein said acetylation is performed in the presence of a Lewis acid. The process can further comprise additional previous steps, so that chiral ketone V can be prepared starting from L-fructose, L-sorbose or D-arabinose.
