Abstract

The subject matter of the invention is a mechanical and pneumatic storage battery for supplying pneumatic engines of self-propelled vehicles, especially of the haulage machines used for transporting excavated material in underground mines, which regenerates its kinetic load via a built-in electric motor. Mechanical accumulator (1) has, via sleeve (4), a common axis of direction with rotary compressor (5), and is connected via a compressed air vessel (6) to a pneumatic engine (16). Permanent magnets (11 ) surrounding electric wiring (10) are built in mechanical accumulator (1).
