Abstract

The method is used for strutting brace legs in a quadrangular setup of a rim of brace legs. The method consists in that a spreader (3) is attached to one end of each brace leg (2), while an extendable tensioning unit (4) is attached to the other end of the same brace leg (2). Next, the brace legs (2) are set inside the excavation in such a manner that, in the excavation corners, the ends of the brace legs (2) terminated with spreaders (3) become coupled with the ends of the subsequent brace legs (2) terminated with tensioning units. Once all the brace legs (2) have been coupled with each other, the ends of the brace legs (2), with the spreaders (3) attached to them, are pressed against the sheet piles (1) in the excavation corners by means of tensioning units (4) attached to subsequent brace legs (2).

In the setup according to the invention, the spreader (3) is attached to one end of each brace leg (2) forming a rim of brace legs supporting the excavation sheet piles (1), while the tensioning unit (4) is attached to the other end of the same brace leg (2). The tensioning unit (4) comprises an l-section (41) to which an axially arranged lug (42) is mounted at one end, and a retaining block (43) is rigidly mounted on the opposite side. Between the axially arranged lug (42) and the retaining block (43), there is a sliding panel (5) composed of a base plate (51), protruding beyond the l-section (41) outline, spacing plates (52) and limiting plates (53), which altogether embrace the l-section (41) flanges. Welded to the base plate (51), there is a transverse retaining element (55) and two lateral lugs (57). There is also a block hole (44) and a tensioning hole (56), both penetrated by a tensioning stud (7). In each corner of the rim of brace legs (2), the spreader (3) attached to the brace leg (2) of the first pair of brace legs is coupled with the tensioning unit (4) of the brace leg (2) comprising the second pair of brace legs by means of pins (8).

Abstract

The adapter has been designed for connecting strutting structure elements intended for excavation shoring applications by means of standard stock pipes. It comprises a rigid plate (1) featuring a row of straight-through connecting holes (2) centrically arranged along its perimeter and a straight-through tightening hole (3) situated at the centre as well as a pair of sliding horizontal centring pieces (4) and a pair of preferably protruding sliding vertical centring pieces (5), the latter positioned perpendicularly to the plate. The horizontal centring pieces (4) and the vertical centring pieces (5) feature oblong slots (6) penetrated by pairs of mounting screws (7). In the upper section of the shape, the plate (1) features a central lifting eye (8) positioned in the middle of the plate (1) and, on both its sides, two smaller technical protrusions (9a) and (9b), while in the bottom section, the plate (1) has a rectangular supporting protrusion (10).

Abstract

The method for strutting and relieving struts of brace legs in an excavation support system consists in that at least one non-permanent support point is formed for the strut placed between the brace legs, whose positioning on the brace leg is controlled by means of an adjustable anchoring piece catching on another support point on the same brace leg. The force component produced by the strut's thrust, affecting the brace leg, is controlled by adjusting the anchoring piece's tensioning force. The force component is relieved by breaking the anchoring piece's continuity. In the system for strutting and relieving of struts, on the surface of each of the pair of intercoupled corner brace legs (11), supporting corner retaining walls (12) of the excavation, a retaining element (13) and, at a certain distance from it, a corner lug (15) are installed. The retaining element (13) and the corner lug (15) are coupled by means of corner anchoring pieces (16) terminated with corner working nuts (17) on both sides. Both corner lugs (15) are connected with each other with a comer strut (19). Corner induction winding (18) is coiled about the corner anchoring pieces (16). In the invention variation, on the outer surface of each of two coupled side brace legs (21), supporting side retaining walls (22), at a certain distance from each other, there are two side lugs (23). The lugs are intercoupled by means of side anchoring pieces (24) terminated with side working nuts (25) on both sides. Spreading struts (26), whose other ends are connected with the main strut (27), are attached to both side lugs (23). Side induction winding (28) is coiled about the side anchoring pieces (24).

Abstract

The subject of the invention is intended for various technical operations where it is required that heavy objects can be moved in a slow and smooth manner to relatively large heights or relatively long distances. The device features a housing (1), limited with a cover (2) from one side and with a base (4) from the other side, featuring a partition (6) inside it. There is a working screw (8) of the length larger than that of the housing (1) inserted through the cover penetration (3), the partition penetration (7) and the base penetration (5). Two supporting elements are mounted to the housing (1) wall, one being the first supporting bracket (9) and the other being the second supporting bracket (10). Mounted on the first supporting bracket (9) is the first hydraulic cylinder (11) featuring a hollow piston rod (12) with a section of the working screw (8) being inserted through its center. Analogically, mounted on the second supporting bracket (10) is the second hydraulic cylinder (13) with a hollow piston rod (14) with another section of the working screw (8) being inserted through its center. The first working nut (15) and the second working nut (16) are screwed on the working screw (8), and mounted on their perimeters are, respectively, the toothed ring (15b) meshed with the first pinion (17) and the toothed ring (16b) meshed with the second pinion (19). Both pinions (17) and (19) are correspondingly meshed with two control motors (18) and (20).
