Abstract

The invention relates to a device for the remote monitoring of body temperature in cattle and pigs, which comprises: a fusiform temperature-conducting case and a circular lid that hermetically seals the device, both of which are covered with biocompatible material; and a unit inside the case, which comprises a thermal probe connected to a programmable microcircuit that provides unique identification information of the animal and which, in turn, comprises a radio emitter, an antenna and a battery that powers the device. The device is programmed to take the temperature and store and send the information to a receiver which, in turn, emits the information to any remote device via the 2G network.
