Abstract
The system is based on the fact that the actuating elements, such as switches (1) for activating an electrical element (6), are connected to the corresponding conventional wiring (2), by means of optical fiber cables (3) that constitute the actual switches (1), causing the commands for actuating the switches to be transmitted by means of light pulses to the wiring (2), specifically to the respective control box (7) electrically connected to the wiring (2), there being two independent zones (4 and 5), the first of these having an electrical voltage and being inaccessible to the user and the other corresponding to the zone where the switches (1) are located, which has no voltage. The system can be applied for use in any type of enclosure and especially in those with electrical safety requirements.
IPC Classes ?
- H03K 17/94 - Electronic switching or gating, i.e. not by contact-making and -breaking characterised by the way in which the control signals are generated
- H01H 47/24 - Circuit arrangements not adapted to a particular application of the relay and designed to obtain desired operating characteristics or to provide energising current for supplying energising current for relay coil having light-sensitive input
- H03K 17/79 - Electronic switching or gating, i.e. not by contact-making and -breaking characterised by the use of specified components by the use, as active elements, of opto-electronic devices, i.e. light-emitting and photoelectric devices electrically- or optically-coupled controlling semiconductor switches with more than two PN-junctions, or more than three electrodes, or more than one electrode connected to the same conductivity region
- H05B 37/02 - Controlling
- G02B 6/35 - Optical coupling means having switching means
- H02J 13/00 - Circuit arrangements for providing remote indication of network conditions, e.g. an instantaneous record of the open or closed condition of each circuitbreaker in the networkCircuit arrangements for providing remote control of switching means in a power distribution network, e.g. switching in and out of current consumers by using a pulse code signal carried by the network
