Abstract

The method is applicable in the production of tubes, bottles, cans, etc. It allows for work with new types of materials, provides increased welding quality and low scrap rate. Initially, the tubular body (4) is placed on the mandrel (1) so that its to-be-welded end is positioned at a distance from the head (2), which is greater than the distance that would be required to get into the final welded position, after forming. A forming and cooling element (6) and a nozzle (7) for heating gas are located coaxially to the mandrel (1), through which nozzle (7) the tubular body (4) and the head (2) are heated in the area intended for welding. After heating is completed, the tubular body (4) is moved in the opposite direction to the head (2) to a position where its to-be-welded end reaches the forming and welding position. With the help of a forming and cooling element (6), forming and welding are carried out.

Abstract

The tube blank with barrier element is applicable in the production of tubes. It comprises of a base blank (6) with a head (5) and the head (5) has a head opening (7). On the inner side of the head (5) is welded a barrier element (8) of multilayer laminate foil. The barrier element (8) in its lower part (1) has an opening (2) in the center of the head opening (7). On the upper surface of the lower part (1) of the barrier element (8) above the opening (2) is attached an upper part (3) of the barrier element (8). The upper part (3) has an external contour similar in shape but with an increased size compared to the opening (2) of the lower part (1) of the barrier element (8). The upper part (3) of the barrier element (8) continues in an elongated pulling element (4) with a length greater than the length of the head opening (7) and located in the head opening (7). It is possible the elongated pulling element (4) to be an additional element, attached to the upper part (3) of the barrier element (8). The elongated pulling element (4) can be pulled out at an angle. This leverage effect allows the opening (2) for product expulsion to be released easier by the user.

Abstract

The tube is for liquid and viscous products. It has an improved appearance in the welding zone (4). The laminate foil tubular body (1) has a longitudinal seam (3). The top end of the body (1) is welded to a head (2). The bottom end of the body (1) is closed with an end seal (5). The contour (6) of the head (2) in the area where the longitudinal seam (3) is located after welding of the body (1) to the head (2), has a cut-out (7), which allows the outer contour of the tube in the area of the longitudinal seam (3) to follow the same curve as the outer contour laying outside the longitudinal seam (3) area. The cut-out (7 or 10) in the head (2) of the tube with a laminated foil tubular body (1) can be a straight line or a groove. The basic contour (6) of the head (2) outside the cut-out (7 or 10) may or may not be round.

Abstract

Method and unit for protection of bare ends of multilayer laminated foil with at least one metal layer are applied to the production of packages of laminated foil, especially tubes, bottles, boxes. То protect the bare ends of multilayer laminate foil with at least one metal layer (3) a blank (2) of foil is placed on a work surface. Then on the blank (2) simultaneously are applied compression and heating with compressing element (4), while the non-metal layers (5) of blank melt and due to applied pressure slip over the end of blank (2) and the end of metal layer (3) is covered by molten non-metal layers (5) and non-metal layers (5) merge into one another. Then the heating is terminated and the blank (2) is cooled under pressure, until the merged non-metal layers (5) harden. Then the pressure is terminated and the blank (2) is removed from work surface (1). Molten material may be restricted by molding element (7).

Abstract

The non-circular tube is applicable to the packing industry and it has an enhanced appearance to the welding between the tubular body (1) and the head (3). The front end (2) of the tubular body (1) before welding to the head (3) is shaped into a 3-D curve which, accounting for the shape and size of the head (3), in each section of the head (3) ensures a constant height H of the front end (2) of the tubular body (1) relative to the base of the head (3) according to the following relation: (I) Where: L is variable length of the forming curve of the tubular body (1) in each of its sections; a is constant length; R is constant radius of the rounding (5); α is variable angle between the surface line and the axis of the head (3); αmax is the greatest value of the variable angle α.

Abstract

The method and apparatus are applicable in production of cans, bottles and more. It has enhanced weld quality, improved appearance and low waste. Laminated foil 2 moves with relatively constant speed and is formed around the mandrel 1. Over the foil edge 7 is placed compressing/cooling bar 10 having cooling channel 11, and over second edge 8 - compressing/cooling bar 12 having cooling channel 13. The profile of mandrel 1 in the heating area of overlapped edges 7 and 8 of foil 2 has step 5 to form cavity 6 between edges 7 and 8. The heating unit 3 is a nozzle supplying hot air into cavity 6. Melting of the foil 2 is limited only to the area, which is not in contact with compressing/cooling bars 10 and 12 and the mandrel 1. During further movement of foil 2 due to change in profile of mandrel 1, transforming into plane 9 the end 8 is lifted up while pressed the end 7 and the two together in compressing/cooling bar 10. After welding area there is cutter 4 to cut the tube into tubular bodies.я
