Abstract

The present invention describes a method for producing mero sesquiterpenes, more specifically drimenylbenzenes and drimenylnaphtho­quinones, by means of a Diels-Alder reaction between a labdane diterpene and a dienophyl. Subsequently, a dehydrogenation yields the aromatized derivatives.
