Abstract

The present invention discloses an apparatus and method for producing compressed compound scrap metal for, in particular, doubling productivity as a result of scrap metal of various forms being collected and compressed into a standardized form through a compression process so as to be fed directly into a furnace. To this end, the present invention enables scrap metal to be fed into two compression chambers arranged on both sides of a first compression cylinder, and enables compressed compound scrap metal to be produced by the sliding powered by the first compression cylinder wherein, while a first compression process is in progress within a first compression space in one side compression chamber, first and second press plates move in reverse within the first compression space in the other side compression chamber so as to return to a standby position.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for discharging a compressed lump of punched metal scrap, which is capable of manufacturing a compressed lump of punched metal scrap that can be efficiently melted and is punched so as to enable the status of an inner layer to be observed, and discharging the compressed lump of punched metal scrap to the outside of the manufacturing equipment, and a discharging method therefor, wherein: the completely compressed lump of metal scrap is freely dropped through a discharge hole provided on the lower part of a compression chamber, and at this time, the compressed lump of the metal scrap is dropped to an exact position and large impact caused by the compressed lump of the metal scrap being dropped can be effectively absorbed; and the metal scrap elastically bounces in an exact direction, thereby quickly and easily discharging the finished compressed lump of the metal scrap to the ground without damaging other facilities or the compressed lump of metal scrap even when the metal scrap is dropped from a height of approximately 2 meters.
