Abstract

The invention relates to the field of timepiece technology, to timepiece mechanisms with time indication, and more specifically to complex timepiece mechanisms having the additional functions of reproducing, within the timepiece, clear animations of graphic images with the possibility of playing various games. In order to enable the creation of clear, non-blurred animated motion of a graphic, bas-relief or other image using cinematographic methods with a rapid progression of animated image frames, said animated image frames remaining motionless in the intervals between the changeover of frames, and said image frames being covered with a shutter during changeover to produce clear, non-blurred moving images for entertainment, games or therapeutic calming by means of the cyclical movements of said animated images, in accordance with the method for reproducing images in timepieces, timepiece image animation is achieved by means of the intermittent, jumping motion of an animation means with image frames, resulting in an alternating jumping display on the timepiece of individual image frames, covered by a shutter during the changeover of frames. Abstract
