Abstract

A lift / elevator for transporting a person (or persons) and a personal mobility device from one floor to another that includes a support column with a self-contained lifting system, a carriage component, and a landing gate system at each floor. This elevator, at the option of the installation, can be made to rotate to accommodate any variety of landing/docking situations and destinations. All components are equipped with electric and/or electronic interlocks among and between all safety and security systems.
