Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for the production of a reinforced lightweight component with the steps of i) provision of a mould with a cavity, the internal shape of which corresponds to the external shape of the lightweight component to be produced, ii) insertion of a reinforcement element (3) into the cavity, iii) injection of molten plastics material into the cavity and iv) introduction of a fluid into the cavity, v) and also demoulding of the component from the mould. The present invention further relates to a lightweight component produced by such a process.
