Abstract

A high-strength chemically strengthened glass. At least one surface of the high-strength chemically strengthened glass comprises an ion exchange layer. The ion exchange layer contains divalent alkaline earth metal ions entering the high-strength chemically strengthened glass by means of an ion exchange type chemical strengthening process; the ion exchange layer further contains monovalent alkali metal ions entering the high-strength chemically strengthened glass by means of the ion exchange type chemical strengthening process. A method for strengthening a glass substrate, comprising the following steps: placing a glass substrate to be strengthened in an ion-exchange salt bath for ion-exchange strengthening to obtain the high-strength chemically strengthened glass. The method for strengthening a glass substrate is simple to operate and suitable for industrial production. The high-strength chemically strengthened glass has great surface compressive stress and ion exchange depth, and therefore has high strength and good impact resistance.
