Abstract

Provided is a tricycle which is formed with a compact size, makes it possible to easily change the forward and reverse directions, and can move steadily on a road etc. when the gaze is directed off in the distance. A first crankshaft (41) and a second crankshaft (42) are pivotably supported to rotate freely on a frame (2). A drive sprocket (43) and sprocket (44) are secured to each end part of the first crankshaft (41). A kick lever (45), which has a pedal (451), and a crank arm (46), which pivotably supports a movable sprocket (441), are secured to each end part of the second crankshaft (42). A first chain (432) winds around a driven sprocket (431) provided at the hub of a rear wheel (WR) and a drive sprocket (43).  In addition, one end of a second chain (444) is fitted on the rear part of the frame and winds around the movable sprocket (441) and the sprocket (44), and the other end links to a spring (443) linked to the front part of the frame.
